How to choose the right recessed LED spotlight?
What is a recessed LED spotlight?
Recessed LED spotlights are luminaires for enjoying diffuse light. They are typically installed in ceilings and are made to replace incandescent or halogen fixtures. Unlike downlights, which are used for general ceiling lighting and have a wider diffusion angle, LED spotlights to have a smaller diffusion angle, giving them a precise contrast between shadow and light. They are perfect for accent lighting, for example for paintings or works of art.
Where can we install them?
A recessed LED spotlight can be installed on the ceiling in any room for general lighting but most of the time they are used as accent lighting. The intensity of light depends on the room but can be easily adjusted if you choose dimmable LED spotlights. You can also install them in entrances, hallways or even in your bathroom (make sure you have a fixture with the right IP rating). Another possibility may be to install them inside your furniture or your dressing room.
Which spot should I use?
Most of the time, recessed LED spotlights include a bulb, however, some recessed spots are excluded from light sources. This solution allows you to buy the bulb you want, leaving you free choice of power, color code or other options. Most of them allow integrating a GU10 bulb.
